Fuckin' Spam

Seriously, what the hell. I tell Google Analytics to filter out results from an entire range of spammy IP addresses, and I still get hit with spam results. Using GA for this site is pretty much pointless because it doesn't display any real results--just bullshit from Pelotas, Brazil.

Luckily, though, Blogger has its own statistics page, which shows my actual hits and traffic sources. Color me fuckin' confused.

Anyway. Going to try not to think about it too much and get back to my knitting. Then, later tonight, crepes with berries and custard, and everything will be alright.

Analytical

Ack. It's nearly 4am, and I am busy filtering out spam referrals this blog has been receiving from Brazil, on Google Analytics. Yes, I do believe I am a nerd.

In other news, this is a shock to nobody that knows me.

Winning at Internets

I would just like to mention real quick, that I win at internets. I posted this earlier on Etsy:

Ugly, Scratchy, Stupid, Awful, Peachy Acrylic Spirally Beret

This is one awful, ugly hat. In short, I don't like it, and neither will you.

The color is an awful barfy orange-peach-salmon thing. I think the manufacturer (Red Heart) calls it "sea coral". It's also 100% acrylic, so you can get all huffy about it being inferior yarn, and you'd totally be right! This stuff is stiff, itchy and scratchy! It's not soft and comforting like modern acrylics at all!

At this point, you may be wondering why you, or anyone else would want this hat. Well, I will tell you. Not only is this amazing hat totally 100% HAND MADE IN AMERICA WOOOO, it's also made of genuine 80s VINTAGE YARN WOOOO! Yes, that's right. The yarn that went into making this hat was originally purchased in the 80s. It still has a price tag for March '88 on it! It's also totally UPCYCLED because the yarn was donated to me by someone who was cleaning out her stash. This is a goddamn environment-saving hat! Show it off to all your hippie friends and make them weep like fat, jealous, ugly losers.

Besides, intentionally ugly is totally chic.

Not long after the listing went live, someone messaged me to tell me I should add aggravation to the materials list. Etsy is fuckin' helpful sometimes.

And speaking of fuck, I also made this last week.

It's not finished, but perhaps I should not be allowed to knit drunk anymore. (Ravelry link)
